Leigh FamiglietteHello, Mass DECA! My name is Leigh Famigliette, and I am a senior at Danvers High School along the North Shore. I have been involved with DECA since my sophomore year. My first year of DECA, I competed in the series event of Principles of Marketing and placed second at the district competition. This past year in DECA, I competed in another series event, Retail Merchandising. Again, I placed second at districts moving on to states. At states, I placed second in one role play. Aside from DECA, I play lacrosse for DHS in the spring as well as compete on the gymnastics team during the winter season. Last year, the DHS gymnastics team was North Section Champions, a very big accomplishment that our team was really proud of. I also have been competing all year round for the North Shore Wildcats, a club gymnastics team for 12 years now. I have traveled to Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and California to compete for our club National Team. My favorite events are the floor exercise and balance beam. I also am a part of the World Language National Honor Society at my school. In my spare time, I like to hang out with my friends. Summer is my favorite time of year and I love going to the beach. My biggest accomplishment thus far is being voted co-captain of the gymnastics team for the 2012 season, co-president of DECA at my school, and of course being elected DECA State Officer. I am honored to serve for Mass DECA in the upcoming year and I look forward to meeting all of you! I cannot wait for an exciting senior year with the rest of my state action team! |
